Male Narrator
[Music]: There are more than 9 million children in America without any
health insurance. Most from working families.
Washington politicians talk about the problem, but a governor named Howard Dean did something about it. And today every child in Vermont has access to quality health care. Howard Dean: If we can do that in a small rural state and still balance the budget, we can do that for every American. I’m Howard Dean, and I approve this message,
because it’s time to take our country back.

On the Screen: The ad opens with a series of (six) shots of children while the narrator does voiceover. Next are two shots of Dean interacting with small groups and a shot of Dean, a doctor with a stethoscope, a kid and a woman. The close is a clip of Dean talking to the camera. |
Notes and Observations: This ad marks a departure from the campaign's initial ads which featured just Dean talking to the camera. |
