"Responsible
Tax Cuts" Russ Feingold: My opponent wants you to think I oppose tax cuts, but I’ve voted for over a trillion dollars in tax cuts. I voted for tax cuts to reduce the marriage penalty, increase the child tax credit, and to provide tax incentives for businesses that expand jobs here at home. Tax cuts I’ve opposed were irresponsible, or added to our record deficit. The ones Tim Michels would have rubber stamped. I’m U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, and I approve this message, and responsible tax cuts.
Russ Feingold: Health
care costs have risen so steeply that
many businesses and families can no longer bear the cost. My opponent,
Tim Michels, thinks just adding more health savings accounts is the
answer. But Michels’ plan only benefits a few at the top. I have a plan
to redirect wasteful federal spending so each state can guarantee
quality health coverage for every American.
I’m Russ Feingold, and I support this message because we can’t
afford a U.S. Senator who only looks out for just some of us. We
need
someone who will stand up for all of us. "Level Playing Field" Russ Feingold: Big money
corporation versus the average
American citizen. Whenever they take each other on, the big
special
interest groups always seem to win.
Take health care. The insurance and pharmaceutical
industries have both made enormous campaign contributions.
What’s been the result? Huge profits for them, and
soaring drug
and health care coverage costs for American families and businesses.
All because there wasn’t a level playing field.
But thanks to the passage of the McCain-Feingold bill,
unlimited
contributions like these, that are little more than bribes, are now
illegal. Which helps level the playing field for the rest of us.
I’m U.S. Senator Russ Feingold. I support this message, and I will continue to work on campaign finance reform because it affects every import issue in this country.
