John Kerry (voiceover): This afternoon, I was in New Hampshire, meeting with people who are hurting.

(excerpts from speech): 3.1 million jobs have been lost.

The one person in the United States of America who deserves to be laid off is George W. Bush.

I believe the courage of Americans can change this country.

I am proud to join you as candidate for President of the United States.

(direct to camera): I'm John Kerry and I authorized this message.

On the screen: 1. Kerry bus caravan moving toward the camera.  2. Kerry talking with woman at the diner in Derry.  3. CU of Kerry delivering speech.  4. Medium wide shot from the side.  He is identified as "Sen. John Kerry."  5. The large crowd.  6. Medium shot head on.  7.  Medium shot from side.  8. Notes and Observations: Like the Kerry campaign's first Iowa spots, this ad recalls the real time ads Bush used in his 2000 NH primary campaign.  It was produced overnight from footage of Kerry's Sept. 3 announcement events in NH and Boston.
