"Remember the American Dream?"
30-second ad March 2004.

[Music] Male Announcer: President Bush.  Remember the American Dream?

It's about hope, not fear.

It's about more jobs at home, not tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas.

It's about giving our children their chance, not our debt.

It's about providing health care for people, not just profits.

It's about fighting for the middle class, not special interests.

George Bush's priorities are eroding the American Dream.  It's time to take our country back from corporate greed and make America work for every American.

On the Screen: A series of images of Americans at work and play.

1. Flag background and text "Remember the American Dream?"  2. Aerial view of a nice neighborhood.  3. Two kids on a swing.  4. Welder, sparks flying.  5. A worker's face; possibly a miner as he has a helmet with a head lamp.  6. Seaman coiling a rope around a stanchion.  7. Kids on a school bus.  8. Kids playing in sprinkler.  9. Doctors looking at an x-ray.  10. Doctor examining a kid's mouth.  11. Man throwing hay bales out of a pickup truck.  12. Worker in protective clothing turns to look at the camera.  13. Group of workers seen through a window or opening.  14. Worker's face.  15. Tickertape parade; people are carrying a large American flag up the street.  16. Flag background, text "Make America Work for Every American," web address and disclaimer.

Notes and Observations: The ad has a definite Madison Avenue touch to it, showing high production values.  There is a lot of positive and uplifting imagery in what is after all an attack on Bush.
