"Bush and Halliburton"
30-second ad early June 2004

[Various SFX low in background] Male Announcer: In 2000 Dick Cheney was CEO of Halliburton.

After Dick Cheney became Vice President, George Bush's administration gave Halliburton a no-bid contract in Iraq worth billions of dollars at taxpayers' expense.

Now it seems Halliburtion has been price gouging and overcharged the federal government $27 million for meals they never served to our troops and $61 million for gasoline.

On the Screen: Animated chalk motif.
Notes and Observations: Time Magazine in its May 30, 2004 issue reported on a March 5, 2003 internal Pentagon e-mail "that raises questions about Cheney's arm's-length policy toward his old employer."
