"Positive Plans"
60-second radio ad run  Oct. 29-Nov. 2 (Friday afternoon through Tuesday evening), in the Ft. Smith, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Memphis and Texarkana radio markets.

Bill Clinton: This is Bill Clinton.

John Kerry has offered positive plans for more jobs, more affordable healthcare and education, a clean energy future and cutting the deficit in half.

But some Americans wonder whether it is wise to change policies for fighting terror and dealing with the troubles in Iraq.

In fact John Kerry's polices would make us more secure:

… By increasing our armed forces by 40,000 troops and getting more international cooperation to strengthen the mission in Iraq and avoid problems like the loss of 300 tons of explosives to hostile forces;

… By doubling our special forces to advance our ability to hunt down Osama bin Laden and other terrorists;

… By doing more to eliminate weapons of mass destruction in Iran, North Korea and elsewhere

… And by investing more in homeland security, unlike the Republicans who opposed doubling cargo inspections at ports and airports,

Many retired generals and admirals agree with John Kerry's plan. They know tough talk is no substitute for tough policies and effective action.
