Party Animals
One hundred decorated, 4 1/2-foot tall
by 5-foot long sculptures of the Democratic donkey and 100 decorated sculptures
of the Republican elephant will be displayed around Washington, DC from
April through early fall 2002 in a project sponsored by the DC Commission
on the Arts and Humanities. In the photos below, taken in the second
week of April, some of the artists apply finishing touches to their works.
