Establishing Exploratory Committee


	February 19, 2003. Carol Moseley Braun spoke to reporters at the National Press Club in Washington on the day she filed papers to establish a presidential exploratory committee. She first announced she would establish a committee the previous day at University of Chicago Law School. Her February 18 announcement followed appearances at events in Iowa (Feb. 15), NH (Feb. 16) and SC (Feb. 17) sponsored by American Women Presidents, a political action committee.
