May 5, 2004. After a couple of days on his "Yes America Can"
bus tour, President Bush returned to Washington for a day which included
a speech at the RNC's big annual fundraiser. Bush declared:
I'm running because there's more work to do. We have a war to win. And the world is counting on us to lead the cause of freedom and peace. We have a duty to spread opportunity to every part of America. We have an obligation to work together to make this country safer and stronger and better. [full speech] |
