Sacramento, CA. March 16, 2003--Amb. Moseley Braun had some enthusiastic supporters at the Convention. | |
At far left is Gloria Tyler-Mallery, chair of the 78th Assembly District Caucus in San Diego and a candidate for Assembly in that district. Tyler-Mallery said, "I had never met her until Friday afternoon [March 14]. She spoke at the black caucus meeting here, and it was my first time meeting her." Tyler-Mallery wears her hair in a similar style to Moseley Braun's which caused an amusing incident when she walked into caucus meeting. "They said Senator you can go right to the microphone, and I am not she," Tyler-Mallery said. She stated, "I have followed her career and I know she's had issues; however we can get through those and I support her 100 percent." |
