-Gen. Clark  participated in the presidential debate sponsored by the DNC and MSNBC/WHO-TV at the Polk County Convention Center in Des Moines, Iowa on November 24, 2003.
 

-Gen. Clark visited Iowa on the afternoon and evening of October 6, 2003.  In Des Moines he dropped by Drake Diner to greet customers; he then participated in the final one of Sen. Harkin's "Hear It from the Heartland" forums at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, and afterwards mingled with participants.
 

-Gen. Clark visited Iowa City, Iowa on September 19, 2003.  He did a meet and greet at Hamburg Inn; walked to the Memorial Union at University of Iowa; and delivered a lecture on "The American Leadership Role in a Changing World" to the University of Iowa College of Law (this was a paid speech scheduled before he announced).
