Wisconsin State Director Peter Shakow
(started in Wisconsin Dec. 27, 2003 following Julie Stauch; previously, starting Sept. 21, 2003, Shakow was Deputy Political Director in Little Rock)  Before joining the campaign Shakow worked as a lawyer in Los Angeles for four years.  He worked in Political Affairs at the White House, 1993-94, and worked on Clinton/Gore '92 in Texas.  Shakow earned his undergraduate degree in History from Brown in 1992, and his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
 
 
Political Director Marv Freeman
Freeman was active in the draft Clark movement.  He is executive director of the Wisconsin chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America and served as national governmental affairs chair of Vietnam Veterans of America from 1995-98.
 
 
 
Field Director John Marchant
Political experience in six states prior to joining the Clark campaign in Wisconsin.  In 2003 managed Ellen Karcher’s  state senate campaign in New Jersey, unseating the Senate President, a 23-year incumbent and the highest-ranking Republican elected official in the state.  Dennis Moore's congressional campaign in KS-3rd in 2000.  Graduate of Rockhurst University.

Served as a political appointee in both of President Clinton’s Administrations—in the Pentagon, the White House and the Department of Energy.  Worked on “At the Table” women’s issues during the 1996 campaign.  Clinton/Gore Alabama State Director during the 1992 campaign.  Before joining the Clinton campaign, Summerville spent 10 years organizing teachers with the Alabama Education Association, an NEA affiliate.  She is an attorney licensed in the State of Alabama and the District of Columbia.

Wisconsin State Director Julie Stauch
Stauch worked to get the offices up and running then returned to Iowa.  Iowa political director for Sen. Bob Graham's presidential campaign (announced May 20, 2003 and continued through end of that campaign in early October).  Stauch managed Rep. Leonard Boswell’s 2002 re-election campaign.  She has worked for the Clinton/Gore ’96 and Gore/Lieberman campaigns as well as the DNC.
