Kerry's Convention Liaison                                     Jack Corrigan
(announced March 3, 2004)  According to the Boston Globe: Corrigan is an attorney, a former county prosecutor and a longtime Massachusetts political operative.  He managed Al Gore's legal effort in the 2000 post-election battle for Florida.  Advisor to Senate president Thomas Birmingham.  Ran the field organization for Michael Dukakis' 1988 presidential campaign and oversaw the convention for Dukakis.  Worked in the administration of Gov. Dukakis.  Worked in six states on Sen. Edward Kennedy's 1980 presidential campaign.

Chair of the DNCC, Inc. Alice A. Huffman
Co-Chaired the 2004 Democratic National Convention Site Advisory Committee.  Founder and President/CEO of A.C. Public Affairs, Inc..  Current President of the California State Conference of the NAACP, and was recently elected to the NAACP National Board of Directors.  Huffman served in California Governor Jerry Brown's Cabinet and was the Associate Executive Director of the California Teachers Association.  She is a California-elected DNC member.
 
 
Chief Executive Officer Rod O'Connor
O'Connor was also the Chief Operating Officer of the 2000 Convention in Los Angeles; this is the fourth Democratic Convention he has worked on.  Prior to the 2000 Convention, O'Connor served as Chief of Staff of the DNC and was a close advisor to Vice President Al Gore, managing the Vice President's political activities for the Democratic Party.  He managed the VIP Department at the 1997 Presidential Inaugural Committee and day-to-day operations for the Vice President during the 1996 campaign. O'Connor is a former White House aide and has worked for the United States Senate.  In between campaigns, O'Connor has held posts as an executive in both the public relations and telecommunications industries.  He recently received a MPA from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
 
 
Director of Operations Cameron Moody
Moody served as the Deputy Director of Logistics for the 2000 National Convention and as Deputy Director of Transportation for the 1996 National Convention.  He has worked on the G-8 Economic Summit, the Presidential Inaugural festivities and the past three Olympic Games.  He also has experience as a marketing executive at Saucony in Peabody, MA.
 
Senior Advisor for Operations Zoe Garmendia
Worked for the 1996 Convention, the 2000 Convention and the 2004 site selection and housing process.  During her tenure at the DNCC, Ms. Garmendia has been Deputy Director for Convention Planning, Associate Director for Credentials, and Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.  Ms. Garmendia was Event Coordinator for the 53rd Presidential Inauguration, the 2000 Summer Olympics, and the 2002 Winter Olympics.

C O N S T R U C T I O N   M A N A G E M E N T   T E A M (announced Jan. 28, 2004)

Responsible for the alteration of the FleetCenter to accommodate the 2004 Democratic National Convention and subsequent restoration to its original condition. Provide the overall coordination, design, management, supervision and scheduling of subcontractors to complete the job. The DNCC issued the RFQ on Dec.16, 2003.  The Shawmut/Primary Group/SAR team submitted the lowest bid and guaranteed at least 50 percent MBE/WBE participation among its subcontractors.  Total budget allocated for the project is $3.5 million.

Executive Producer Don Mischer
An internationally recognized producer and director of television and live events, Mischer has been honored with thirteen prime time Emmy Awards, a record nine Director's Guild of America Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, two NAACP Image Awards, a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting, and Europe's Golden Rose of Montreux.  Producer/director credits include: The Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games; The 100th Anniversary of Carnegie Hall; Barbra Streisand's Millennium concert in Las Vegas; The Kennedy Center Honors; PBS Dance in America; Motown 25; the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta; and the events in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor on the occasion of that city's reunification with China in 1997.

Producer Ricky Kirschner
Runs RK Productions and is one of the entertainment industry's leading production executives. Kirshner was the Producer of the 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. He will also be the Executive Producer of the 58th Annual Tony Awards later this year.  He has over 20 years of production experience at ABC, Radio City Music Hall, and producing network shows.  Credits include Executive Producer of "ABC's 4th of July Musical Celebration" and Senior Producer of "ABC 2000" (ABC News' Millennium coverage), which proved to be one of the most watched television events of all time. He received an Emmy Award, as well as a Peabody & Edwin R. Murrow Award, for that program.

Convention Hall Director Alan Rose
Rose's event, political and campaign experience includes lead advance person for Vice President Al Gore's campaigns in 1996 and 2000, and legal and political work on the Gore/Lieberman Florida Recount in 2000.  He will take a six-month leave of absence from the law firm Rose & Associates where he is a partner practicing business litigation; employment law; college and university law; and white collar criminal defense. He has a J.D. and Masters in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Rose grew up in Wellesley, MA and has lived in Boston since 1996.

Communications Director Peggy C. Wilhide
(effective Feb. 1, 2004)  More than 15 years of experience in public affairs, communications and media relations.  Most recently Vice President for Communications for the Association of American Railroads.  Press secretary and chief spokesman for Vice President Al Gore from 1995-96.  Headed the public affairs office for NASA, supervising more than 280 employees at nine NASA centers.  Served four years as press secretary to Sen. Chuck Robb of Virginia.  Wilhide started her career as a newspaper reporter in Alabama.  She is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.A. in journalism.
 
Press Secretary Lina Garcia
Recently served as Deputy Communications Director for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.  Prior to that, she worked for an international public relations firm in San Francisco.  Garcia is a former Deputy Press Secretary of the DNC.

Director of Housing Dennis O'Brien
O'Brien has worked at the DNC for the past year as Deputy Director of Convention Planning for the 2004 Democratic National Convention and previously served as a Special Assistant to Chairman Terry McAuliffe.  Prior to that, he worked on Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign and played a key role in the 2000 presidential debates.

Director of Security Ed McNelley
(effective Jan. 6, 2004) Served in the Boston Police Department for 33 years, retiring as Captain Detective in June 2003.  Commendations include the Department Medal of Honor, the Boston Police Relief Association Memorial Award and Detective of the Year Award.  McNelley has managed his own law practice since.  He is a Vietnam veteran.

Director of Airport and Motorpool Operations Kirkwood Buckman
(annnounced Jan. 6, 2004) Buckman's third Democratic National Convention; he has worked other large public events such as the 2003 MLB Al-Star Game, the Winter Olympics, Chicago Marathon, World Cup USA.
-manage a 300-vehicle motor pool to provide transportation for convention attendees, staff and equipment during convention week.

Director of Community Outreach Gail Jackson
Jackson has been involved with communications programs, strategic planning, fund-raising, events planning and management to organizations including the Ad Club of Greater Boston, Roxbury Community College, Action for Boston Community Development, Wang Laboratories, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.  She has been nominated by Ebony magazine as "One of the Most Promising Black Women in Corporate America."
 
 
 
Director of Administration Eileen Toback
Most recently the Executive Director of the New York Professional Nurses Union, enforcing collective bargaining agreements and lobbying for patient safety. Toback's experience also includes organizing service and maintenance workers with the United Auto Workers, Local 2300 and lobbying for single payer health care with the New York Jobs with Justice/Health Care Campaign.
 
 
Director of Budget Rekha Chalasani
After helping found a Boston based biotech company in the early 1990s, she went to work for the Clinton/Gore 1996 re-election campaign and spent four years in the Clinton Administration including in the press office of U.S. AID.  In 2000 she worked as Director of Public Affairs at SpeakOut.com.  Recently, Ms. Chalasani has consulted for Boston area non-profits including City Year, Youth Tech Entrepreneurs, and Mass Insight.
 
 
Chief Counsel Cindy M. Lott
Served as Deputy Counsel at the 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles.  She was also Chief Counsel in a state Attorney General's Office in addition to practicing in the private sector.  Lott is a 1993 Yale Law School graduate; in 1993, she served as a judicial clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and later practiced with the Boston law firm of Foley, Hoag, and Elliot.
 
 
Director of Convention Planning, DC Office Lee Satterfield
(Liaison between the DNC and others in Washington, DC and the staff in Boston)  Satterfield organized the site selection process and served as Director of Convention Planning at the DNC since Boston was selected.  Previously she served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the DNC.  During the Clinton Administration, Satterfield served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman and worked in the White House.

Director of Communications Stephanie Cutter
(announced July 28, 2003; on Nov. 11, 2003 the Kerry campaign announced Cutter would be joining its commuications team)  Cutter came to the Convention team from her position as Communications Director for Senator Edward M. Kennedy.  She previously worked for President Clinton as the Deputy Communications Director at the White House and as the Associate Administrator for Communications at the U.S. EPA.  Cutter has participated in the press operation of the last three conventions -- Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. Originally from Raynham, Massachusetts, Cutter is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Smith College in Northampton, MA.
