Covering Dean's Announcement


	Burlington, VT, June 23, 2003--Peter Freyne devoted much of his "Inside Track" column in the alternative weekly Seven Days to "three uninvited local wing-nuts" who showed up to protest at Dean's speech, particularly focusing on one with the giant Nader sign. In an e-mail Freyne explained, "I always try to cover what the others miss. The great unknown was who the hell was the guy with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Nader/Green Party sign." Freyne also filed a pre-speech report for the noon news on Radio Vermont, WDEV. Dean had met with the Vermont press for 20 minutes that morning.
