Dean for America  
On May 30, 2002, Dean mailed the FEC papers establishing Dean for America, a presidential campaign committee.  Dean for America is headquartered in Burlington, Vermont.  Joe Trippi is national campaign manager.

As of December 15, 2003 the campaign has twenty individuals working full-time on the Virginia Dean campaign (eight staff and the rest volunteers):
Acting Virginia Campaign Manager/National Treasurer Don Beyer
(signed on as National Treasurer on April 4, 2003.  volunteer)  Democratic nominee for Governor of Virginia, 1997; Lieutenant Governor of Virginia,1990-98; Virginia Chair of Clinton for President, 1992; Virginia Chair of Paul Simon for President, 1987-88.  Beyer has held finance positions for many other Democratic party committees and candidates: Finance Chair, Milliken for Congress, 1986; State Party Vice Chair for Finance, 1985-88; Northern Virginia Chairman, Baliles for Governor, 1984-85; founder of Fairfax Democratic Business Forum, 1986; Finance Chair, Fairfax County Democratic Committee, 1983-85; Finance Chair, Jim Scott for Supervisor, 1983; campaign manager, Lechner for Congress, 1982.  With his brother Beyer co-manages the family business, Don Beyer Volvo in Northern Virginia.

State Coordinator (one of three) Jennifer Boysko
(staff)  Jennifer Boysko was the first official MeetUp host for Northern Virginia.  Over the past several years she has been politically active on the grassroots level, particularly following the 2000 election and the instigation of the war in Iraq.  She started volunteering for the Dean campaign in January 2003 after seeing him speak at a luncheon fundraiser on Capitol Hill, and started her position on staff in July 2003.  Most recently a stay-at-home mom, Boysko graduated from Hollins Women's College in Roanoke, VA.

Outreach Director Marvin McGraw
(staff)  Springfield District (Fairfax County) Democratic Chair.  Field organizer for the Warner for Governor campaign in 2001; former staff director to the Vice Chair of the DNC; national political organizer during the Carter/Mondale re-election campaign in 1980.  McGraw was one of a group that drove up to Burlington to see Dean deliver his announcement speech in June, and met with Dean before the speech.

Note
Sherry Stanley helped on the petition drive to get Dean on the ballot.  On July 8, 2003 she held a training which drew over 30 people.  The petition drive began on July 12; the goal is to get at least 2,000 signatures in each of Virginia's 11 Congressional Districts and a total of 50,000 for the whole state (the minimum requirement is 800 per CD, and a statewide total of 10,000).
