	January 6, 2005. Vice President Dick Cheney and a procession brought two wooden boxes containing the certificates of vote into the House chamber as Speaker Dennis Hastert and members of the House and Senate sitting in Joint Session looked on.

	Certification proceeded without interruption...

	...until the Ohio certificate of vote was presented, at which point Rep. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones (D-OH) rose to make a challenge. This led to several hours of debate, but in the end the Joint Session certified the election of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
