and during the fall campaign he worked for the DNC. He was a press
assistant to Mickey Kantor at USTR and worked with Kantor at the Department
of Commerce. Simmons was an aide on then-Gov. Clinton's 1992 presidential
campaign. A Detroit native, he holds a bachelor's degree from Morehouse
College and a master's from the Kennedy School of Government (1998).

Elleithee served as New Hampshire press secretary for Bill Bradley's presidential
campaign. In 1998 he worked on the Tom Udall for Congress campaign
in New Mexico and the Paul Johnson for Governor campaign in Arizona.

Howser most recently served

In 2000, he worked as a researcher for Al Gore’s presidential campaign
in Nashville, TN. In 1998, Howser was a researcher for Don Siegelman’s
successful campaign for governor of Alabama, the first Democrat elected
governor in that state since 1982. Howser served for nearly
18 months in Siegelman’s governor’s office as deputy policy director and
senior policy adviser before leaving to go to work for Vice-President Gore.
