Odom is a Norman attorney.
In 2002 he sought the Democratic nomination to fill the congressional seat
being vacated by Rep. J.C. Watts (OK-4) and finished second. In 1998
he was the Democratic nominee for Congress against Watts and won 38 percent
of the vote. He served as Fourth District Democratic Party chairman,
1991-93. Odom earned his B.A. from the University of Central Oklahoma,
and his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma (1984).
