Democrats to Hold 2004 Convention in Boston
November 13, 2002.  Senator Kerry was pleased by the choice of Boston, although he said he did not consider it relevant to a possible presidential campaign.  Boston Mayor Menino (not present) and Massachusetts' senior Sen. Edward Kennedy played key roles in landing the convention for Beantown.  It will be the first major political party convention held in Boston.
