Speaking to Reporters after Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press"


	December 1, 2002. "An Enormous Step." After appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Sen. Kerry ventured out into the cold and answered a few questions from reporters before heading off to catch a plane. This day marked a beginning to Kerry's presidential campaign. Host Tim Russert's opening question to the Massachusetts Senator was, "Are you running for president?" Kerry responded, "Tim, I’ve made a decision to file a committee. I’m going to file this week an exploratory committee, a formal committee, and I’m going to begin the process of organizing a national campaign."
