Native of Moore County, North
Carolina and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington
(Political Science, 1996). Jackson served as an aide to US Representatives
Mel Watt and Bill Hefner. During the 2000 election cycle he was political
director for the North Carolina Democratic Party. In 2001, he joined
John Edwards' U.S. Senate staff. In fall 2003 he moved over to the
John Edwards for President campaign, serving as deputy national political
director, and from Dec. 2003-Feb. 2004 as the chief staff person in the
South Carolina primary.
