State Director Morgan Jackson
Native of Moore County, North Carolina and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (Political Science, 1996).  Jackson served as an aide to US Representatives Mel Watt and Bill Hefner.  During the 2000 election cycle he was political director for the North Carolina Democratic Party.  In 2001, he joined John Edwards' U.S. Senate staff.  In fall 2003 he moved over to the John Edwards for President campaign, serving as deputy national political director, and from Dec. 2003-Feb. 2004 as the chief staff person in the South Carolina primary.

(started in June, continued through late Sept. 2004, including a short while on the Coordinated Campaign; then redeployed to Duluth, MN).  Communications director on Wayne Hogan's congressional campaign against Rep. John Mica in Florida in 2002.  Speechwriter for Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV).  Communications director for Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA).  Worked as a newspaper reporter in Washington, DC.  B.A. in Sociology from Vassar College.

(started Sept. 2004)  Has worked for Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) since April 2000, most recently as senior policy advisor, as leadership aide and floor assistant, and initially as press secretary.  Spokeswoman for Attorney General Mike Easley.  Worked for. Gov. Jim Hunt.  Bachelor's degree in political science from North Carolina State University, 1997.  Grew up in Raleigh, NC.

Coordinated Campaign Director Jessica Vanden Berg
Oklahoma State Director on Gen. Wesley Clark's campaign.  Iowa State Director of the Bob Graham for President campaign from May 2003 until Graham quit the race in October.  Vanden Berg came to the Graham campaign from her position as caucus director for the Iowa Democratic Party.  In 2002 she worked as the deputy director of the IDP's 2002 Coordinated Campaign.  She served as Rep. Leonard Boswell's communications director after managing his successful re-election campaign in 2000.  From Pella, Iowa.  She graduated from Central College with a degree in Political Science. 
 
 
Political Director (Mr.) Courtney Crowder
Crowder came to the campaign after serving as legislative liaison in the North Carolina Department of Insurance; he is the current president of the Young Democrats of North Carolina.  Worked for several years in Congressman Bob Etheridge's Raleigh office.  2000 graduate of North Carolina Central University.
