Congressman Sherrod Brown Endorses Kerry
80 Elected and Democratic Leaders in Ohio Back Kerry
Columbus, OH Congressman Sherrod Brown endorsed John Kerry today.
Brown is the Senior Democrat on the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee
and is a nationally recognized champion of fair trade policies.
“On Labor Day, President Bush came to Richfield in my district to announce
the creation of a 'manufacturing czar.' Six months later, and despite the
fact Ohio has lost 264,000 jobs since he took office, the President has
yet to name anyone to this position. Ohioans deserve a leader who gives
more than lip service to job creation.
“I spoke with John Kerry this week about Ohio's economy. We both know
that the Bush policies are not working in this state. John Kerry gets it.
The enthusiasm that has greeted him as he travels the state reinforces
that he understands what we have to do to preserve and create jobs in Ohio,”
said Congressman Sherrod Brown.
John Kerry kicked off a national jobs tour in Ohio on Tuesday and Wednesday,
campaigning in Struthers, Cleveland and Toledo. Kerry outlined his
plan to keep jobs in America and to create manufacturing jobs.
“I am honored to have Congressman Sherrod Brown’s support. We
share the same belief that the Bush administration is wrong to sit by and
accept outsourcing as a way of doing business. In a Kerry administration,
if you’re doing your part and doing what’s right, you’ll have a President
who honors you, respects your contribution and who will fight for your
future everyday,” said John Kerry.
John Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz campaigned in Athens and Columbus

Anderson endorsed John Kerry, and more than 80 state elected leaders announced
