On December 4, 2002, Sen. Kerry filed papers with the FEC establishing John Kerry for President Inc., an exploratory committee.  James M. Jordan served as the national campaign manager through November 9, 2003; he was replaced by Mary Beth Cahill, who previously served as chief of staff to Sen. Edward Kennedy.

(January 24, 2004)  Washington chief of staff to Sen. Jean Carnahan, and senior advisor to her U.S. Senate campaign.  Senior advisor on Gov. Carnahan's 2000 U.S. Senate campaign.  Executive director of the Missouri Democratic Party, 1998-2000.  Ran Gov. Carnahan's 1996 re-election campaign.  Served in the Carnahan administration as deputy chief of staff and as chief of staff.  Political director on Mel Carnahan's successful 1992 campaign for governor in Missouri.
 
 
Spokeswoman Kim Molstre
(after January 20, 2004)  Deputy press secretary and spokesperson for Dick Gephardt's presidential campaign (announced April 1, 2003).  Prior to joining the campaign, Molstre worked in House Democratic Leader Pelosi's communications office after serving in Gephardt's leadership office.
