On December 18 he walked through Mt. Vernon with Jonathan Meier and four others walking cross-country to promote the Kucinich campaign, starting at Big Creek Market and then giving a public talk at Cornell College Commons; visited Siemen's manufacturing company in Cedar Rapids; attended a holiday party at thecampaign's headquarters on 3rd Street  in Davenport; gave a public talk at Muscatine Books & More in Muscatine; gave a public talk at Washington Public Library in Washington; and attended a house party/fundraiser at the home of Jim Jacobson and Irene Friend in Coralville.
On December 19 he met and greeted area Democrats at Crossroads Restaurant in Toledo; did a lunch and discussion at the House of Chen Restaurant in Marshalltown; held a public meeting at Ft. Dodge Public Library; give a public talk at Algona Public Library; and gave a public talk at Rose Bowl bowling alley in Mason City. 
On December 20 in Des Moines he met local minority community leaders at Union Baptist Church; campaigned door to door with Ako Abdul-Samad, recently elected Des Moines School Board Member, in his neighborhood, around 12th and Forest; attended a labor brunch at Postal Worker's Hall; held a town meeting at Creative Visions; and visited the Islamic Center of Des Moines.

On September 1 he marched in the South Central Iowa Federation of Labor Day Parade; spoke at the South Central Iowa Federation of Labor Picnic at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, 4H Building; and held a "Power to the People" Labor Day Rally at Old Brick Church in Iowa City.
On September 2 in Iowa City he walked through the University of Iowa campus and delivered a speech at the Memorial Union; and delivered a lecture "How to Create the Future" at the Memorial Union at Iowa State University in Ames.

Kucinich visited Iowa on July 26-27, 2003.  On the evening of July 26 in Des Moines he met with labor leaders at his Iowa campaign headquarters in Des Moines; attended a house party at the home of Turo Dexter in the East Village area of Des Moines; and spoke at the AFSCME State Convention at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel.  On July 27 he breakfasted with the AFSCME Women’s Committee at Four Points Sheraton Hotel; proceeded to Indian Hills Community College-Ottumwa Campus to participate in Sen. Tom Harkin's Heartland Forum; and held a rally with music by David Zollo at the UAW Hall in Ottumwa.

Kucinich visited Iowa on July 12-13, 2003.  On July 12 he did a brunch at the Travel Lodge Hotel and Restaurant in Council Bluffs; and held a public meeting at the Wilbur Alfas Public Library in Sioux City.  On July 13 he attended a gay rights forum at the home of Kathy Ferguson in Des Moines; attended a house party at the home of Melissa Nelson in Des Moines; attended a STAR PAC forum (Stop the Arms Race) at Drake University; spoke to Poweshiek County Democrats at a potluck at Ahrens Park; and attended a house party at the home of Carlie and Gary Tartakov in Ames.

-Rep. Kucinich visited Eastern Iowa on the afternoon June 13, 2003.  He held a press conference on his health care plan, lunched at the Muddy Waters Restaurant (free hors d'ouevres) in Cedar Rapids; and did a Conversation with Rep. Kucinich at Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque. 
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa on June 6-8, 2003
On June 6 he appeared at the Friday Forum at Scott County Democratic Headquarters in Davenport; announced a clean water plan at Centennial Park on the banks of the Mississippi River in Davenport; and talked with local community members at Southeastern Community College, West Burlington Campus in Burlington.
On June 7 he breakfasted at Hotel Ottumwa in Ottumwa; brunched with local supporters at the Best Western in Fairfield; taped the "Conversations" cable access program at West Branch Public Library in West Branch followed by a meeting with Cedar County supporters & West Branch People for Peace on the library lawn; and did a fundraiser at the home of Jennifer Sherer and Ryan Downing in Iowa City.
On June 8 he attended the 16th Annual ICARE Pancake Breakfast in Iowa City and attended the 4th Annual Vilsack/Pederson Family Picnic at the Old Threshers Grounds in Mt. Pleasant.
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa on June 1, 2003, announcing his agriculture and rural policy.  He visited the Paul and Phyllis Willis Farm (Niman Ranch of Iowa Producers) in Thornton; met with local Democrats and family farm advocates at the HyVee Deli in Webster City; and visited the Joe Lynch Farm in Ames.
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa on May 16-17, 2003
On May 16 he taped "Iowa Press" at Iowa Public Television in Johnston; walked a picket line with Laborers, Ironworkers and Cement Finishers at the Jordan Creek Mall construction site (West Des Moines); discussed a plan for universal education for age 3 to college at Martin Luther King, Jr. Magnet Elementary School in Des Moines; met with Gordon Fischer, chair of the Iowa Democratic Party, at Java Joe's coffee shop in Des Moines; met with Des Moines area labor leaders at the Renaissance Savery Hotel; and attended the AFSCME reception at the Polk County Convention Complex. 
On May 17 in Des Moines he visited the Downtown Farmers Market; met with Polk county supporters at Java Joe's; and participated in the AFSCME town hall meeting; he then attended the ISEA meeting at Adventureland Inn in Altoona. 
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa for a full day on May 10, 2003.  He met with Waterloo area labor leaders at the Ramada Inn in Waterloo; participated in the National Association of Letter Carriers food drive in Waterloo; toured large factory hog farms (Confined Animal Feeding Operations) in the Ellsworth area with family farmer Kevin Miskell; held a discussion with Iowa farmers at Happy Chef in Story City; spoke to the Painters Union District Council meeting in Ankeny; celebrated the grand opening of the campaign's Iowa headquarters at 3407 Ingersoll in Des Moines; appeared at the Polk County Democrats fundraiser at the Iowa State Fairgrounds; called in to the 5th CD "Give Em Hell Harry" party in Council Bluffs; and wrapped up the trip with a reception at the home of John and Nancy Turner in Des Moines.
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Eastern Iowa on the afternoon and evening of May 5, 2003.  In Davenport he had lunch with labor leaders, organized by Jerry Messer, president of the Quad Cities Federation of Labor, at 7250 Northwest Boulevard; lunch with Quad Cities Latino community leaders at Ganzo's Tacos; addressed the Iowa Postal Workers Convention at Radisson Hotel; visited the peace camp at University of Iowa; and attended a Rally for Jobs and Justice at Cereal Workers Local 110 at 526 F Ave. NW in Cedar Rapids.
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa on April 12-13, 2003.
Because of votes in Congress on the Iraq war supplemental funding bill and tax cuts Kucinich had to trim the planned April 12 Iowa schedule.  A meeting with labor leaders and local supporters in Waterloo was cancelled; and instead of appearing in person, he spoke by airphone with supporters gathered at the Legion Arts/CSPS performance space in Cedar Rapids [Frederick Jones put together this event] and then with students participating in the "peace camp" on the University of Iowa campus.  On the ground in Iowa, Kucinich proceeded to Muscatine, where he delivered the keynote speech at the Muscatine County Democratic Party's annual Earth Day dinner at the Muscatine Center for Social Action on Iowa Ave.  That evening he attended the Planned Parenthood of Iowa's annual dinner (columnist Ellen Goodman was the speaker). 
In Des Moines on April 13 Kucinich talked at First Unitarian Church; ate a vegan lunch with holistic health care practioners, family farmers, environmentalists and others hosted by  Stephanie Weisenbach at the home of supporter Rev. Chet Guinn; and delivered a speech "Iraq: What Next?" at Mickle Neighborhood Center. 
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa on March 23-24, 2003
On March 23 in Des Moines he spoke at the UAW CAP conference at the Best Western Starlite; met with state and local elected officials; met with Communications Workers of America at the Bank of America building on Aurora Ave; held a town hall meeting "Where do we go from here?" at Trinity United Methodist Church; and attended a house party hosted by Chet Guinn. 
On the morning of March 24 in Greenfield he met with area residents and elected officials at Nowadays Diner; met with area residents and elected officials at Bon's Bakehouse; and toured the local senior meals program and met with seniors at the YMCA.  In the afternoon he met with farmers on Iowa agricultural issues at the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State in Ames.
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa on March 7-9, 2003
On March 7 he held a public meeting with local Democrats and elected officials in the meeting room at Perry Public Library in Perry (Dallas County, NW of Des Moines); a public meeting with residents and community of the Wesley Acres Retirement Home in Des Moines; and in the evening he attended a peace rally organized by a coalition of peace activists at Drake University.
On the afternoon of March 8 he held a public forum, "Why Cities Have a Stake in Peace," at Iowa City Public Library in Iowa City; met with local labor leaders and members at the Cottage Restaurant in Iowa City; and a spoke to College Democrats and community activists at Cornell College.
On March 9 he left around 5:00 pm from Des Moines.
 

-Rep. Kucinich visited Iowa from February 15-20, 2003
On the evening of February 15 he spoke to local activists in the Olmstead Building at Drake University on "Making the Peace Movement Visible." 
On February 16 he spoke at the Linn County Off Year Caucus at the Cedar Rapids Public Library; spoke to Johnson County Democrats and local supporters at City High School in Iowa City; and spoke to local activists from FAIR at "The Old Brick Building" Church in Iowa City.
On February 17 he spoke at the Iowa Federation of Labor's Annual Legislative Conference at Adventureland Inn in Altoona.
On the evening of February 18 he spoke on "Peace and Security through Diplomacy"at Iowa State University in Ames, part of the Presidential Caucus Series.
On the evening of February 19 he spoke to Jefferson County Democrats as well as Natural Law Party supporters on "Creating Peace"at the Best Western Hotel in Fairfield.
On February 20 he left around 2:50 pm from Des Moines.
