The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute's May 26, 2004 nationwide poll includes an interesting question:

Clay F. Richards, assistant director of the Polling Institute, explains that the question's origins

"...are related to the interest we've sparked in New York City polls asking how you'd like to have dinner with the Mayor etc. We started that because we were having a tough time getting a handle on Bloomberg's aloofness in a way that would resonate with the voter/reader. Questions like this are often more telling than job approval or a public official's handling of an issue."
