For example, on November 21, 2003 the Clark campaign began a "Race for
America" with two teams, North Team and South Team, traveling in RVs and
distributing Clark bars along the way. The campaign uses the 1/2
oz. Clark miniatures.
The official Clark
bar website describes the candy as "Delicious, Crunchy, Peanut Butter center
with a rich chocolatey coating." D. L. Clark Company was founded
in 1886; the individually wrapped Clark bar dates from the World War I
era. Clark bars are now manufactured by the New England Confectionery
Company (NECCO), headquartered in Revere, Mass.
