July 26, 2003--NRA President Kayne Robinson (r) and Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre (l) listened to presentations by Bush-Cheney campaign officials during the RNC's summer meeting in New York City.  Robinson is a former chair of the Republican Party of Iowa and a former Des Moines police detective; he succeeded Charlton Heston in the position.
