Post-Debate Activity (i.e. spin)
Columbia, SC, May 3, 2003--Sen. Lieberman comments on the debate.  He emphasized he could defeat President Bush.  "I can beat him because I can match him where they say he's strong, on defense and values, and I can beat him where he's weak, on the economy and on this awful right wing divisive social agenda," Lieberman stated.  Spokeman Jano Cabrera also said the debate boosted Lieberman.  "[W]hen we show the differences between Lieberman and the other candidates we can come to the conclusion that his differences are what make him the best qualified and best positioned to win in 2004 against Bush," Cabrera stated.
