Retail Events - Sen. Kerry Focuses on the Economy


	Columbia, SC, May 2, 2003--Sen. Kerry did an economic event at Rosewood Elementary School. To his left are Principal Ted Wachter and Tracy Cooper, South Carolina's Teacher of the Year for 2001. Kerry spoke in front of a group of reporters as temperatures reached well into the 80s. He stated, "[T]oday here in South Carolina and all across the country, because of the Bush economic policies, because of the choices they are making in their tax plan, governors across this country and states across this country are facing the prospect of cutting teachers."
