Columbia, SC, May 4, 2003--Rev. Al Sharpton preached on the theme of "unnecessary tears" at the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church.  He finished off his sermon with an artful pirouette.  Senior Pastor Michael H. Baker stated, "That was not candidate Sharpton, that was Reverend Sharpton."  "God has him on a mission," Baker said, urging the congregation to "bring your gifts."  Many came forward with a few dollars or a five dollar bill in hand.  Sharpton later preached at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church.
