January 8, 2004. At the National Press Club, Rev. Al Sharpton, accompanied by New York Assemblyman Adam Clayton Powell IV, announced a radio buy on several Washington, DC stations in advance of the January 13 non-binding primary. Asked about the size of the buy, Sharpton said it was noteworthy given the campaign's resources. He recounted the story of the pig and the chicken discussing a ham and egg sandwich. For the chicken it cost an egg, for the pig a leg. | |||
