WTOP Radio Debate
January 9, 2004.  Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Amb. Carol Moseley Braun, and Rev. Al Sharpton participated in this debate held at The George Washington University less than a week before the non-binding DC primary.  WTOP news anchor Bruce Alan (not shown) moderated the latter part of the debate after arriving late due to traffic.  The panel comprised WTOP political analyst Mark Plotkin, Newschannel 8 political reporter Bruce DePuyt and Washington Post columnist Colbert King.  Plotkin directed the first question to the empty chair representing Gov. Howard Dean.

Prior to the debate Kucinich supporters waved signs outside.  Later several dozen supporters of Lyndon LaRouche arrived.  Three of them disrupted the debate, which included only candidates "who show in the national polls."

After the debate, Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, the three candidates, and Dean supporter and Councilman Jack Evans posed for a photo.  (DC Democratic State Committee Chairman A. Scott Bolden stepped away).
