Coalition
for the Future American Worker
30-second ad running in Iowa
mid-Jan. 2004.
|
Male
Announcer: How much longer [punch SFX]
can
Iowa workers be the punching bags for greedy corporations and politicians?
[punch SFX] First meatpackers replaced Iowans with thousands of foreign workers. [punch SFX] Next wages were cut almost in half. [punch SFX] Now politicians want new laws [punch SFX] to import millions more foreign workers and give amnesty to illegal aliens. [punch SFX] Tell the candidates no more foreign workers [punch SFX] and no amnesty for millions here illegally. Paid for by the Coalition for the Future American Worker. |
On the Screen: A punching bag dummy. A fist from off-screen hits the dummy every so often. Text, in red, is put on the screen to reinforce the narration. In an amusing touch the expression on the dummy is changed several times during the ad. |
Notes and
Observations: According to its website, "The
Coalition for the Future American Worker (CFAW) is an umbrella organization
