Co-Chair Sen. Darrell Jackson
(announced Feb. 10, 2003) Jackson, of Hopkins, has served in the Senate since 1993; he represents District 21 (parts of Calhoun and Richland counties).  He is pastor at Bible Way Church of Atlas Road in Columbia, serving one of the largest congregations in South Carolina with over 6,000 members.  He succeeded his father in that position in 1996.  He is also CEO of Sunrise Enterprise of Columbia, Inc.

Ike Williams
(announced Jan. 21, 2004)  South Carolina state director of the Gephardt campaign until Gephardt withdrew on Jan. 20, 2004.  A veteran of South Carolina politics for over 40 years, Williams ran Congressman Clyburn's first campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992.  Following that successful election bid, Williams served as Clyburn's state district liaison until 2003.  Williams also served as the South Carolina field director for the NAACP from 1969 to 1983.
