"The Democratic
Party's legal operation in NH was focused on ensuring that all eligible
voters be allowed to vote and have their votes counted. We had a
core group of lawyers involved well in advance of the election, and over
450 trained lawyers at polling locations across the state on election day
to assist in voter protection efforts. All lawyers involved in the
campaign were trained in person. The greatest challenge the campaign
faced in NH was ensuring that students understood their rights to vote.
The NH legal effort was closely coordinated with legal efforts across the
country. In addition to reporting to the Democratic Coordinated Campaign
in NH, I also reported to the DNC in Washington and worked closely with
the Kerry campaign lawyers."
