his position as senior advisor to California Secretary of State Kevin Shelley.
Previously he worked as Chief Deputy Director of the Employment Development
Department (EDD), appointed by Gov. Gray Davis on Oct. 31, 2000.
Before taking that position he served more than six years with the federal
government as the Assistant Director of Communications and Science Education
for the United States Department of Energy, Office of Science. He
earned his B.A. from the University of Texas.
