On December 4, 2002, Sen. Kerry filed papers with the FEC establishing John Kerry for President Inc., an exploratory committee.  James M. Jordan served as the national campaign manager through November 9, 2003; he was replaced by Mary Beth Cahill, who previously served as chief of staff to Sen. Edward Kennedy.

State Director Dawna Rasmussen
(Nov. 2003) Prior to joining the campaign Rasmussen worked as one of two Idaho Democratic Party field coordinators in Bannock County (Pocatello).  Staff assistant in the Idaho Senate starting in Jan. 2003.  Managed Sen. Bert Marley's (D-McCammon) 2002 election campaign.  Interned with then U.S. Rep. Tim Roemer (D-IN) in 2001. 
 
 
 
Field Director Matt DeFerranti
DeFerranti served as the field coordinator for Pottawattamie County (Council Bluffs) during Kerry's Iowa caucus campaign.
 
 
 
Northern Region Field Director Kate Simmons
Simmons served as the Northeast Regional Field Director for Kerry's Iowa caucus campaign.  Prior to joining the campaign, she was the Washington, DC representative for the global warming and energy campaign at the Sierra Club.  She worked on Jack Conway's bid for Congress in the 3rd CD in Kentucky in 2002 and on Congressman John Spratt's 2000 re-election in South Carolina. 
 
 
 
Volunteer Coordinator Monica Schneider
Schneider was a field coordinator for Black Hawk County (Waterloo) during Kerry's Iowa caucus campaign.
 
 

Endorsements
-On Feb. 23, 2004 the campaign announced the support of all four of the state's superdelegates and over 80 percent of its Democratic state legislators.

-On Feb. 23, 2004 the campaign announced the support of the 800-plus member Professional Fire Fighters of Idaho, Dennis Doan, president.

-On Jan. 30, 2004 the campaign announced its Idaho steering committee, co-chaired by Bethine Church (Boise), wife of former U.S. Senator Frank Church and Ambassador Alan Blinken (Ketchum) .
