Gephardt for President, Inc.
On January 6, 2003, Rep. Gephardt filed papers with the FEC establishing Gephardt for President Exploratory Committee.  The campaign opened its headquarters in a downtown Washington, DC office building in the first part of February 2003.  Gephardt formally announced his campaign on February 19, 2003 in St. Louis, MO.  Steve Murphy is the national campaign manager.

Oklahoma State Director Julie Gibson
(announced Oct. 22, 2003)  Gibson most recently served as chief of staff to Missouri's Lt. Gov. Joe Maxwell and chief of staff to Gov. Bob Holden.  During the 2002 election cycle, she served as the Missouri Coordinated Campaign get-out-the-vote director.  In 2000 and 1996, Gibson served as campaign director for the Missouri Democratic Party. In 1994, she managed Alan Wheat's campaign for U.S. Senate, and in 1992, she served as Missouri state director for the Clinton-Gore campaign.

On May 1, 2003 the campaign announced its initial Steering Committee.  Starting on November 25, 2003, it has been announcing additional supporters every week in a "Ten Weeks 'til Tuesday" effort.
On January 13, 2004 the campaign announced additional supporters.

On January 6, 2004 the campaign announced another 32 supporters including Rev. John A. Reed, President of the Oklahoma Baptist Convention.

On December 30, 2003 the campaign announced another 44 supporters including State Rep. Gary Taylor of Dewey.

On December 23, 2003 the campaign announced another 19 additional supporters including State Rep. Darrell Gilbert (D-Tulsa) and Rev.. W.R. Casey, President of the Christian Ministers Alliance. 

On December 16, 2003 the campaign announced the endorsement of the Northeastern Oklahoma Labor Council (NOLC), a consortium of more than 20 unions in northeastern Oklahoma, affiliated with the AFL-CIO, and 22 more supporters.

On December 9, 2003 the campaign announced support of 26 more supporters.

On December 2, 2003 the campaign announced support of Oklahoma UAW (more than 7,000 retired and active members; Judy Calhoun, President, Oklahoma UAW Community Action Program (CAP) Council) and 20 more supporters.
